Assignments
Google Classroom provides a number of ways to keep yourself on track when it comes to your class assignments. You are able to receive your assignments, work on them, and hand them in all within the classroom itself.
When your teacher assigns work, you will receive an email letting you know a new assignment is waiting in the classroom.
Clicking on the link provided will take you directly to the assignment's information page where you can read all the instructions and receive any materials you may need to complete your work.
On the top of the page, you can switch between INSTRUCTIONS and YOUR WORK.
The Instructions page is where your teacher will explain in detail the rules and expectations of your assignment.
You can also ask questions in the comments section.
The Your Work page is where you will complete and hand in your assignment.
You can make comments here too, but they are private between you and your teacher.
If your teacher provided any materials for you to work with, you will find them here.
In this case, there is a document file. By clicking on it, it will open in Google Docs where you can edit it directly.
It will automatically save into your Google Drive.
If you want to add a file or website to your assignment, you can do so by clicking on the ADD button on the top left of the page.
You can also make a new file by clicking on the CREATE button, located next to the ADD button on the top of the page.
When you've completed your assignment, click on the TURN IN button to send your work back to your teacher.
To return to the Classroom, click on the arrow at the top left of the page.
To help you keep track of your assignments, you can find a list of them in the Classroom Stream.
They will also show up on your Home page.
Each classroom's assignments will appear in their individual boxes.
