Restricted Apps on Student iPads
While you are allowed to download games onto your iPads for recreation, there are some apps that we do not allow students to have.
The main type of apps that we have restricted are communication apps, such as social media, texting, and voice chat apps.
We have also restricted the use of VPNs (Virtual Private Networks).
Jailbreaking and the installation of profiles that allow students to download apps that are not from the App store or Self Service is also prohibited on school iPads.

This list is constantly being updated, so check back often. Just because an app is not on this list yet, does not mean that it isn't restricted. Use your best judgement. If you're not sure, feel free to contact the Technology Department and ask.
If a student is caught with a restricted app on their iPad, the iPad will be locked, and you must come to the Technology Department to have it unlocked. Even if you delete the app before you come to school. We can still tell that it had been downloaded, and you will still be subject to disciplinary action.
First offence is a warning. If you are found having downloaded restricted apps again, you will receive a Friday Detention.
